Geauga Mama Dogs and Pups is a private, independent, non-profit (501c3) group focused on the care and rescue of pregnant dogs, mom dogs with litters, and puppies under six months old. Our rescues come from all over Ohio and the surrounding states. We provide a comfortable safe environment for pregnant dogs to give birth and for mom dogs to care for their puppies. Our goal is to give each Mama dog and each puppy that comes into our care the nutrition, medical support, and love needed to become a healthy happy family pet.

Our adoptable puppies reside in private foster homes. We do not operate a shelter or central location. To adopt a puppy, please message the Geauga Mama Dogs and Pups page with the puppy’s name, your name, and phone number. Following a ‘meet and greet,’ you may proceed with the adoption application. Adoption fees: $300 for unaltered puppies that includes a $100 refundable spay/neuter deposit, $300 for altered puppies, and $175 for puppies or dogs over seven months. We will verify your current pets’ spay/neuter status and vaccine records with your veterinarian to ensure suitable homes.

With the support of our adoption partners and community, Geauga Mama Dogs and Pups helped over 18,500 dogs and puppies find safety, love, and forever families. Every number represents a life changed. Not only for the dogs and puppies, but for the families who welcomed them home!
While our rescue numbers dipped in 2024, due to our trusted adoption partner losing their veterinarian, it never slowed our commitment.
